This was the first time for us joining an open-air cinema. We went to a drive-in movie theatre in Durham Stadium and had fun so much.
According to my search on Google, the history of drive-in theater began in 1916. And then, it continues in 1921 in Texas. A drive-in theater or drive-in cinema is a form of cinema structure consisting of a large outdoor movie screen, a projection booth, a concession stand, and a large parking area for automobiles. Within this enclosed area, customers can view movies from the privacy and comfort of their cars.
So, an organization from Durham established an event to bring together families, friends, and the greater community to generate awareness about the importance of supporting families and teachers to help children be resilient. So we joined their drive-in movie day to watch Trolls. It was amazing. We loved it.
